Doug and I have been blessed with two wonderful babies. Timothy and Faith are such a blessing to us. We are having a lot of fun with them and plan to keep them entertained and busy. We have traveled around and visited the family down south this summer. We stayed busy at many amusement parks and pools. This fall, we'll be headed to Disney World in Florida! We praise God for blessing us with these wonderful babies and we are so thankful that they are His children and He will guide and direct all of our paths from now until He comes again! Faith Suzanne has been a tremendous blessing to our family also. She is talking like an adult now and amazes us continually with things she has learned. Faith loves to sing and dance to praise and worship songs, as well as some other children's favorites. She is beginning to understand concepts now, rather than just what she sees and hears. She loved the pool this summer. The zoo is an all-time favorite with her - she loves animals. She is counting and speaking some Spanish - thanks to Dora the Explorer. She still eats very well. Some favorites are meatballs, grilled cheese and of course - cucumbers (STILL!). She is pretty tall for a 2 year old (37 inches) and is still very thin. She loves her brother and really helps a lot with him. We are so blessed to have her potty trained. She loves to wear pretty dresses and shoes now! God is blessing Faith and growing her every day! |
Both Timothy and Faith were born at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. Timothy was 6 lbs 10.7 oz and 19 inches long at birth. Labor was about 4 hours and we stayed in the hospital 24 hours. Faith was 6 lbs and 3 oz and 18 inches long at birth. Labor with her was about 5 hours and we stayed in the hospital for 24 hours also. At the time of this update, Timothy is 8 months old. He is well over 20 lbs and we haven't measured him, but estimate him to be at least 28 inches long. He is eating, sleeping and growing in large proportions. Timmy is very mobile now, crawling and and sitting up. He stands with help and if you stand him up on your lap, he will bounce to high heaven! He does the "Johnny Jump Up" very well. On his 8 month birthday, we found his first tooth (bottom left). He sucks and chews on celery sticks, in addition to 5 jars of baby food, with bottles of formula and juice in between. He says "Mama", "Dada" and "Baba" (when he's hungry and sees his bottle). If we have music playing and Faith or one of us is singing, he'll "sing" with his little voice. We'll update as he does more things. God is growing him!
